Certification Course
Developed as part of the Air Force Civil Engineering Center’s Fire and Emergency Services certification program, the Technical Rescue: Confined Space course equips learners with essential skills across all certification levels - from awareness to advanced technical rescue. This course delivers a progressive learning path, integrating real-world case studies, interactive simulations, and expert-led instructional content to prepare responders for complex rescue operations. Designed for high-impact training, it ensures that personnel gain the critical knowledge and hands-on techniques necessary for confined space emergencies.
Moderizing Training
To enhance the Air Force Civil Engineering Center’s Fire and Emergency Services certification program, I led the transformation of outdated Adobe Captivate courses into a dynamic, modern learning experience using Articulate Rise. This redesign replaced static, text-heavy content with engaging videos, interactive scenarios, and visually compelling imagery, creating an intuitive and immersive learning environment. By leveraging cutting-edge instructional design principles, the updated courses improve learner engagement, retention, and overall effectiveness, aligning with the future of digital training.
Learning Week
To enhance the learning culture and spotlight key training, the company dedicated a whole week of online courses and classroom activities. I made the week gamified with the ability to earn badges for the different courses taken. This is the closing video for the week where I encourage the learners on the next steps.
Train the Trainer
As part of the blended training approach, I rolled out iPads to every Certified Training Store to support the blended training of new managers. This is an example of the support for those trainers on the technology.
Learner Quick Guide
The Learner Quick Guide was created to familiarize the new manager in training with the learning management system. The online training was a critical part of their 6-8 week blended training.
Retail Training
Visual Merchandising was an important area to improve customer sales and this video helped to reinvigorate the retail team to dress their stores to attract more purchases. I directed and edited this video.
Bartender Training
This was a part of a series of bartender training that covered topics such as basics to more entertaining tricks like flair. There were yearly competitions for the best bar-rocker of the year and this training helped the contestants get to the finals.
Manager in Training
As part of the Manager in Training series, Profit and Loss statement education was created to give financial literacy of the business. This was created using Vyond, a whiteboard animation tool. Other managers in training courses included Hiring, Coaching, Retaining, and department-specific information.
Food Service
As a part of the series on every food recipe from prep, to service, to the deserts, this is one example of simplifying the process training. These videos were available to staff on iPads for just-in-time review as well as part of the manager-in-training blended approach.
